Territory was the goal of our expedition team from South and East Germany.
period:
20th of May till 15th /19th of June.
Exclusive for the climb (ascent and descent)
we needed 13 days, including days of rest and spell of bad weather.
team:
Consists of 3 members, with high altitude
and expedition experience. It was a private, self organised mountaineering
expedition.
ascent:
King Trench route by ski, 20 km /12 miles
long approach on a level of 5100 m / 16700 ft.
efforts:
Extreme arctic clime, variation in temperature
between +30°C (86 °F) till -40°C (-30°F), high physical
constitution and endurance is necessary because of the geographical position
near the Pacific ocean rapid weather change can happen.
